The map is full of side missions, police missions and interesting events, such as the inevitable night street races. After a couple hours of research on the net to try and find a workaround, i gave up. Apparently this was an issue on the PS3 as well & was not addressed in the “definitive edition”!!!! Some of the missions are way to hard and Ive almost gave up several times,the driving is terrible,the camera while driving is almost impossible to control and your gonna find it hard just to get around. There is alot to do and the missions are fun but its just not to solid,it couldve been so much better if theyd just have made the combat more fluid,all you do is wait to counter attack throw some punches and wait again,its boring,if the combat was more like Batman or Assassins creed this game would be a 9 but sadly its not.

I thought the story kind of feel short at the end and the DLC was terrible but I am still happy that I played the game. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun open world experience.

I have a hard time understanding why Sleeping Dogs needed to be ported to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in what Square Enix is calling the game’s “Definitive Edition”...It collects all of the game’s considerable post-release content – including a trio of story-driven add-ons – in one convenient place, which is laudable. But core game hasn’t changed much. And it wasn’t perfect to begin with...The expression “warts and all” to leap to mind.

For better or worse, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is not that much different from your standard issue Game of the Year Edition. That is to say, you'll be treated one of the best open world crime adventures in recent years, and the game still looks great, if not dramatically different on its new hardware.

What is still one of the best games in the genre, TDE just adds some minor graphical tweaks and all the DLC to the SD collection. The DLCS are all worth playing,and all the new outfits look as cool as they did in the original. Play it now, if you never played the original. If you did, still pick it up, while it's on sale for $15 until the end of the month.

It's a shame we're not getting any new content here, but it is indeed the best opportunity to try an outstanding game that have already surprised many players during the previous generation.

Both Player's and NPCs. Improved texturing and physics, so you get things like jewellery and hair moving.*Better lighting and atmospheric effects. Nice fog effects which looks great when raining. You also get steam coming from kitchens, pipes and food bowls.*More world animations.Awnings flap in the wind, lights blink and neon signs now flash like actual neon signs and animated advertisements have been added.*Increased crowd density and now the markets actually looks like markets with lots and lots of items on display and people shopping.If you loved the original game as much as I did and have it on Steam, the upgrade is fairly cheap at$15. Whether there is value in that is hard to say, but I'm glad I bought it.

Definitive Edition is not quite an essential purchase – especially if you already played and finished the original release – but it’s definitely worth picking up if you’re hankering after the kind of open world criminal action that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

While it can look nice under the right conditions (usually during well-lit cutscenes or when the sun goes down), Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is the least impressive new-gen remaster I've seen so far. And as somebody who played through the entirety of the game upon its original release, the visual tweaks on offer here did little to convince me that I need to play it, or more importantly pay for it all over again.
