In SkyDrift besturen spelers een van de verschillende vliegtuigen in een fictieve racecompetitie. De gameplay is vergelijkbaar met andere vliegtuigracegames zoals Plane Crazy en de vliegmodus van Diddy Kong Racing. Het spel bevat 33 single player uitdaging stadia, alsmede online multiplayer. Hoewel de primaire focus ligt op racen, spelen dogfights een grote rol in sommige speltypen van SkyDrift. You will want an X-Box style controller to play for sure (go ahead, just drop $20 and get one), and it's hard to predict whether there will ever be enough players to make Multiplayer a real option. That said, the single player campaign is a lot of fun. Definitely a game you'll tell your friends about.

So you are flying with planes but you are still forced to fly in a "tube" If you fly off far away, the game redirects you but often into a rock wall.
Racing arcade game brings fun and good playability – the biggest drawback is the absent of a local multiplayer – this kind of game is crying for it.
