Inside offers an harrowing experience like no other platforming game has. You play as a young boy who begins the game fleeing from armed guards into a forest. If I say anymore, it's not worth playing. You must run and solve puzzles throughout the course of the game, which won't take you probably that long, due to the game being only about 3 to 4 hours long. Don't let that playtime though put you down, 4 hours of a good game is better than 4 hours of fun in a 20+ hour game. There was a few moments where the trial and error moments got out of hand, but that shouldn't scare you off from what I don't just consider one of the best games of 2016, or one of the best games of the 2010s, but I consider it to be one of the best games of all time.

ghetto. just ghetto. i played for roughly 6 hours when it was supposed to take 2-3. I uninstalled the game because it wouldnt let me put a CRATE OVER SOME WEIRD WATER stuff. I will never understand, nor see the ending because of this. This game has given be false hope that I would get some happy ending. instead there was just some weird mass body formation type mosh pit that rolled and destroyed stuff. no. i dont like it. i didnt like this. i hated this game. i still dont know the plot and i was playing it for 6 hours. my favourite little boy got abducted by some weird walking mosh pit. i hate this. no.

The storyline is there, but maybe a bit vague. The game could have been richer in this sense (as well as LIMBO, probably). It is not too long, but I have never minded that.Overall, I have the impression that INSIDE is too good a game to not have a 9, but at the same time it lacks something to have a 10.

The whole way through you play through mysterious scenes that a story could be set to, but it hasn't. Certain standout moments play unlike any other game. Your first play-through may frustrate but the emotional aftermath hammers home the depth of the achievement. It's the nightmare cousin of Journey.

I loved the implications of Limbo’s ending, it’s something that I think about quite often still, but Inside’s final chapter is the kind of thing that keeps you awake at night. It’s an unrelenting storm of nightmarish realities that completely blindsides you, and then things just get weirder from there.

I’m sure others will (and already have) find meaning in Inside. There’ll be fascinating, insightful deconstructions and I look forward to reading them. There’s a wealth of praise for the game already. It’s clearly spoken to a lot of people, but it didn’t speak to me – except, perhaps, to berate me for not being smart enough to understand what it’s trying to say.

Although Inside’s aesthetics are great, its storytelling methods aren’t reprehensible. There’s no narration or dialogues; all information is conveyed through environment and gestures of characters, so unless you’re willing to go on wild interpretation sprees, Inside’s story won’t make any sense. But even if you do, it will still leave a lot of unanswered questions.

As far as puzzle platformers go, Inside is the new benchmark. This is a game that manages to spin a compelling yarn without uttering a single word, and one that is designed so meticulously that the puzzles it contains never once become rote or frustrating.

Inside is a truly unique platformer that is a better and more mature brother of famous Limbo (that came from the same studio). Everything you see on the screen is extremely well thought out and the way that one anonymous character in the background conveys tons of emotions with a simple move is astounding. Only the best could have achieved such a thing and I'm sure Inside will be remembered for years.
