Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is what we expected of racing these type of cars: adrenaline given by the mechanics of the game and an exorbitant show. All this makes up a package that can be taken very seriously by scale model fans and enjoyed in the most arcade-like way possible by newcomers of the hobby.

A sort of car-sized playground built to amaze from the very first moment, which, however, focuses too much on the glance and sacrifices on the altar of the scenography both the freedom of exploration of the base game and the beauty of its events. The festival's spectacular expeditions are lacking, as are secondary events that increase affection for this new floating and intricate world. It is good that a different path has been tried than in the past but the experiment presents some uncertainty in our opinion.

These medals you can basically earn from most things, but the game insists you do challenges, because they give the most medals. Besides you need to do most challenges anyway, because you need a LOT of medals. Challenges that can be easy, like getting from one place to another in a certain time. Unfortunately, most are really hard unless you are a skilled driver. The DLC reminds me of the LEGO DLC in FH4, because that also looked like a childish game, but end game was tough as nails. This is no exception. Like i said: fun for skilled drivers, but not really the nature of a "mainstream" racing game. This isn't Project Cars Turn 10/Playground Games! Especially considering the FH4 approach of "participating is winning". So basically Forza Horizon in a nutshell: the base game is for everyone (easy-hard), the DLC is NOT for everyone (moderate-hard)

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is the perfect example of a small expansion. It takes a new spin on the Horizon formula while its core remains the same, incredibly fun arcade racer. The new open world is a joy to explore and master, but sadly it can feel too much like an advertisement frequently.

Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels builds an epic new setting for the iconic orange track and racing to take place in, and it's a lot of fun to take in the stunning vistas as you race through the dramatic twists and turns. It gives a good counterpoint to the instant gratification of the main game with a more defined progression, but can feel a bit too rigid in some ways.

Thankfully, most of the joy you're likely to squeeze out of this return to Hot Wheels is in the high-octane racing taking place in the skies, and it's during these moments where it's a bit easier to forget about its unfortunate shortcomings. The expanded map and diverse geographic makeup is a joy to explore, as is coming to grips with all the new pieces of plastic track surfaces that keep otherwise routine races from turning stale. It's disappointing that this energy couldn't be entirely converted over to the expansion's love letter to the Hot Wheels franchise, and it's annoying to be routinely reminded of all the other types of events you need to complete in order to unlock some of the best new vehicles, but it's still a detour worth taking if you've been itching for another fix of Forza Horizon fun.

I've spent all my time since it came out racing down the orange tracks to 100% it. The cars they gift are pretty awesome too. My favorite would be the 2018 Hot Wheels Camaro. At first it was weird to find out I had to only use B Class cars but it didn't take long to start unlocking the rest of the classes. Nice touch to lock others and give players a sense of reward when another Class gets unlocked. My favorite would be S2!

The track-based antics here are more restricted, which may put off players who enjoy the off-roading freedom that the base game provides, but in turn it’s a whole new experience with a completely different feel. As long as you like driving really fast and performing insane stunts, you’ll love Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels. You don’t even need to be a fan of actual Hot Wheels cars to appreciate it.

I thought it was exactly like the FH3 Hot Wheels expension. But I Wrong, It's much more, more depth, more heights, more gravity.

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is a fantastic expansion. The small gameplay additions make it a really fun experience, with a beautifully designed scenario and a gameplay experience that's different enough from the base game to justify the purchase.
